Women Rights in Gaza
Since October 7th, over 70% of the civilians killed in the Gaza conflict are women. Thousands of women were deprived of their rights, raped and killed by the Israeli military army. Many of those women were tortured in prisons for years. Here are some of the things that the cruel Israeli military army are doing to Palestinian women. During this war, over 9500 women have been killed in Gaza and another 77700 have been greatly injured, this means that 75% of the victims are female. 8000 females are also missing under the rubble. The miscarriage increases everyday, and there is no limit to what they can do if nobody stops them. Health care treatment
The health care and treatment of pregnant women seem to be a hard task to accomplish, as the continues bombardment of hospitals and deliberate denial to healthcare access by Israeli military army. Not to mention, the lack of medical resources including: beds, medicine and medical equipment has escalated the matter further. Over 183 women are daily giving birth to babies without pain killers. Meanwhile, hundreds of babies have died due to the lack of incubators that allow access to their oxygen and food. Many breast-feeding women face severe blood poverty due to the lack of food, clean water and proper treatment and hospitals.

Violating the privacy of women.
The destruction of residential houses, buildings and even tents has violated the privacy of Gazan women. Reham who is a Gazan civilian said that when she gets her period, she cannot shower properly and cannot take care of her personal hygiene in the proper way. She can only shower in a tent in the cold weather that lacks four wall and a ceiling, she has to share an underground tank with five other families, she feels humiliated and cannot even have a proper bath. One of the experts say: “that a child was saved and rescued from his mother womb after she died by an Israeli attack, later the baby died as well in an incubator”. The Israeli military army even splits women wombs to guess the gender of the baby as a game, how horrific and sick is that. Women in Gaza are attacked in the most horrific and cruel possible way, they are under vicious and ethnic cleansing attack.

Killing, raping, aborting and killing their babies.
The Israeli army and occupation forces attacked and still continue to assault young girls and women sexually, raping them and torturing and executing them for their amusement. Violence against women and children is increasing rapidly. Even their government failed to detect the number of crimes that have been committed to the women and girls of Gaza.
Reham, has also lost her home, and her husband lost his job. In addition to that, she lost a five-month pregnancy baby while she was under assault in her father’s house by a direct airstrike, killing her baby and two of her brothers. Reham, is now silent most of the times and depressed, how frustrating to see her like this when she was social and talkative all the time, she was lovely and warm.

Every human in Gaza is suffering from hunger and thirst, Reham’s son cannot have access to proper milk and she cannot feed him due to her blood poverty and the lack of food, so he has to consume unhealthy canned food. Not only Reham, many pregnant women and lactating mothers can not find the food and proper drinking water as well. They go days without water or food. Her son is growing sick due to the cold weather near the Egyptian borders and the entire family is falling ill, and there are no medical equipment or treatment or proper living conditions. The food and medical security are not available to them.
She now feels anxious for her family’s future, as her neighbor lost her life in an airstrike, she also lost her pregnancy, and two brothers as they were trying to escape her fathers house, another brother of her is now an amputee. She feels afraid for her family. It is necessary to stop the war in order for those innocent women and children to have a proper and decent life, and start rebuilding the city and infrastructure and restore the necessary services and food and drinking water. Reham says: there are news every day of women killed. It is also important that there is an international condemnation as well, so that the whole world can see through the actions of Israel.
